When someone like Facebook (now META) approaches you to help them market their new food delivery service, my team and I got creative.
What better way for a high-tech company to market person- to-person service than a delightfully low tech way?
Facebook (now META) came to our team for help launching Facebook's food delivery service. Facebook is constantly flooded with recipe videos that make cooking delicious foods look so easy.
But when you try them at home that's hardly ever the case.
So we decided to flood Facebook our own recipes.
This was a big project for my team and we all pulled all nighters, countless dinners at the agency and we had the biggest group chat you've ever seen. We got to know each other pretty well through the whole process.
Through this project they knew that in addition to whisking up some creative ideas, I loved to cook. So they thought what better way to celebrate a job well done than to sneak an Easter egg in - keep an eye out for "Olivia's Country Cooking" as you watch this next one.
Since we filmed these spots in Austin, TX we had the luxury of an extremely hot studio *and* having one of our special friends make an appearance.
Darwin, one of the producers labradoodles, was delighted when we wanted to offer him a role in this Facebook spot.
Yeah, us too after we peeled these potatoes.
You're telling me Facebook let you use a curse word in one of your ads?
No, but you can't blame us for trying ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
We also wanted the the Zuc himself to be the one cookin' up these ideas, but they didn't let us do that either.
